on the Academic Policy of the Aesthetic  Gymnasium

 1. General Provisions

1.1. This Regulation defines the goals, principles, norms, and mechanisms for implementing the academic policy of the Gymnasium (hereinafter — the Gymnasium), ensuring the quality of education, academic integrity, and fairness of the educational process.

1.2. This Regulation is developed in accordance with the applicable legislation in the field of education, the Charter of the Gymnasium, and local regulatory acts.

1.3. This Regulation is mandatory for all students, pedagogical and administrative staff of the Gymnasium, as well as other participants in the educational process.

1.4. The main areas of the academic policy are:
– maintaining high quality of education;
– ensuring academic integrity;
– ensuring transparent assessment procedures;
– creating conditions for individual educational trajectories;
– preventing academic violations and conflicts;
– fostering a culture of responsibility and independence.

2. Goals of the Academic Policy

2.1. Ensuring conditions for students to receive a high-quality education.

2.2. Developing competencies in students that are necessary for successful academic, professional, and social activities.

2.3. Supporting the principles of academic fairness and transparency in assessment.

2.4. Preventing and minimizing academic violations, including cheating, plagiarism, and manipulation of grades.

3. Principles of the Academic Policy

3.1. Academic integrity — adherence to the requirements for independent work, objective assessment, and proper use of sources.

3.2. Equal opportunities — ensuring fair learning and assessment conditions for all students.

3.3. Transparency — openness of requirements, assessment criteria, and decision-making procedures.

3.4. Responsibility — personal and collective responsibility of participants in the educational process for learning outcomes and compliance with established norms.

3.5. Professionalism — adherence by teachers to ethical standards, methodological requirements, and communication rules.

3.6. Confidentiality — protection of personal data and proper handling of learning outcomes.

4. Academic Integrity

4.1. Forms of Academic Misconduct

Academic misconduct includes:
– cheating;
– using prohibited materials during tests and exams;
– plagiarism;
– falsification of grades, documents, or assignment results;
– completing assignments for another student or sharing one’s own materials;
– violation of group work rules;
– unauthorized collaboration on individual assignments.

4.2. Requirements for Students

A student is required to:
– complete individual assignments independently;
– properly cite sources;
– follow rules of conduct during tests and exams;
– inform teachers about potential violations (anonymously if necessary).

4.3. Requirements for Pedagogical Staff

Teachers are required to:

5. Assessment of Academic Achievement

7. Prevention and Resolution of Conflicts

7.1. Conflicts in the educational process shall be resolved in accordance with the principles of dialogue, respect, and adherence to academic ethics.

7.2. Participants in the educational process may address:
– the homeroom teacher;
– the subject teacher;
– the administration.

7.3. Appeals and complaints are reviewed within the timeframe established by local regulatory acts.

8. Responsibility for Violating the Academic Policy

8.1. A student who violates academic integrity requirements may be subject to the following measures:
– a warning;
– redoing the assignment;
– lowering or annulling the grade;
– temporary restriction of access to certain academic privileges (participation in Olympiads, projects, etc.);
– other measures provided by local acts.

8.2. Pedagogical staff bear responsibility for biased assessment, non-compliance with criteria, and violation of professional ethics.

9. Recognition of Student Achievements

9.1. The Gymnasium encourages high academic performance, creative achievements, leadership initiatives, and social activity.

9.2. Forms of encouragement include:
– letters of appreciation and certificates;
– publication of achievements on the Gymnasium’s official platforms;
– recommendations for participation in prestigious competitions;
– additional educational support.

10. Final Provisions

10.1. This Regulation comes into force after approval by the Principal of the Gymnasium.

10.2. Amendments and additions to this Regulation are made in accordance with the procedure established by local regulatory acts.

10.3. The Regulation is posted on the official website of the Gymnasium and communicated to all participants in the educational process.
