The main principles of pedagogical ethics are:

Basic norms of pedagogical ethics
During working hours and outside working hours, teachers are obliged to:
1) observe the basic principles of pedagogical ethics;
2) contribute to the development of high moral standards, respect for parents, ethno-cultural values, and a caring attitude towards the surrounding world in students and pupils;
3) teach students to respect their homeland, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and foster a spirit of patriotism;
4) refrain from actions that could discredit the highest title of teacher in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
5) perform their official duties conscientiously and efficiently;
6) continuously improves their professional skills, actively engages in self-education and self-improvement;
7) strictly observes labor discipline;
8) treats the property of the educational organization with care and does not use it for personal purposes;
9) takes measures to prevent corruption and sets an example of honest, fair, and just behavior;
10) does not allow the use of official information for selfish or other personal purposes;
11) sets an example by creating a stable and favorable moral and psychological environment in the team;
12) adheres to a business dress code while performing their official duties;
13) avoids using their status as a teacher for selfish or other personal gain;
14) strictly adheres to the principles of academic integrity in their activities.
15) publishes materials in the media, including online publications, and speaks publicly only on their own behalf as an individual, ensuring that discussions are conducted properly, without damaging the high standing of the teaching profession, refraining from uncritical criticism and indecent opinions about state officials, not disclosing official information that is not authorised for publication, and not undermining the high standing of the teaching profession in society;
16) public speeches and publications in the media on behalf of an educational organization are agreed upon with the head of that organization;
17) does not disseminate unverified and/or unreliable and/or indecent information on social networks, contributes to strengthening the high status of teachers in society;
18) contributes to the implementation of state policy in the field of education and science;
19) ensures the confidentiality of the achievements (or lack thereof) of students and pupils, their social status, and the place of employment of their parents (legal representatives), and this information shall only be disclosed with the written consent of the parents (legal representatives) of minor students and pupils or adult students and pupils.
When communicating with participants in the educational process, teachers:
1) respect the rights, dignity, and worth of individuals regardless of age, gender, nationality, religion, citizenship, origin, social, professional, or financial status, or any other circumstances;
2) address participants in the educational process by their names in a respectful and civil manner, in accordance with generally accepted moral and ethical norms, and do not allow arbitrary distortion in the spelling and pronunciation of the surnames of participants in the educational process;
3) prevent financial and other extortion of participants in the educational process and make efforts to prevent such actions on the part of their colleagues;
4) does not allow reasoned criticism from society, treats it calmly, and uses critical criticism to eliminate and improve shortcomings in their professional activities;
5) provides professional support to participants in the educational process;
6) does not discriminate against persons who have appealed violations of pedagogical ethics.
When communicating with colleagues, teachers:
1) observe generally accepted moral and ethical standards, politeness, and courtesy;
2) do not publicly question the professional qualifications of other teachers;
3) refrain from making false and unfounded complaints and do not take retaliatory measures against persons who have complained about violations of teaching ethics.
Teachers are liable for violations of teaching ethics in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Compliance with teaching ethics is monitored by the relevant Teaching Ethics Councils of educational organizations in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The applicant must be immediately notified of the results of the review either at the meeting itself or by the secretary of the Council after the review.
Consideration of cases involving teachers:
1) temporary incapacity for work;
2) being on leave or business trip;
3) being exempt from performing their official duties while performing state or public duties;
4) being in training, retraining, advanced training courses, and internships.
The Council's decision is advisory in nature.
When considering the Council's recommendation, the head of the educational organization shall make a decision in accordance with the requirements of labor and other legislation.
Discussions concerning the teacher and decisions made on their basis may be published only with his or her written consent.
